Dad had always been fit he enjoyed cycling, badminton, swimming and he loved the outdoors. He enjoyed a good party always being the first on the dance floor and the last to go home, he loved his family especially enjoying the time he spent with his Grandchildren. He was wise, caring and respected and thought of warmly by all of his family and many friends. It was testimount to his character when in May 2001 at the age of 63 he donated one of his kidneys to me. Nothing prepared us for the feelings of hopelessness when Dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Dad died 20 months after diagnosis
